We do not offer on-line booking as we prefer, by far, to deal with your enquiries direct and to help you plan your stay here with us on a more personal level. Our office is open every day from 8.30am to 10.00pm if you wish to telephone 01470 511258 to make a reservation.
If you wish to make an initial enquiry, or would like us to send a brochure and tariff or further information of any kind, please go to the Contact Us page and send an Enquiry Form. We check our e-mail frequently every day and will respond to your enquiry as quickly as we can.
Accommodation Reservations:- All reservations will be confirmed by e-mail, and/or posted in writing to your preferred postal address. We take credit/debit card details to secure your accommodation reservation and will deduct a non-returnable deposit on that day.
Deposit:- Our non-returnable deposit charge is £100 per room per night.
Cancellations:- We have a 14-day cancellation policy, detailed in our letter of confirmation. In the event of a guest having to cancel within the 14-day period, we will charge for the accommodation in full, unless we are able to re-let the room(s). If we are successful in re-letting rooms we make no charge. We will not refund the deposit, but will be very happy to hold this in lieu of a future booking to stay at The House Over-By within a period of six months from your original reservation dates. We will not charge for lost Restaurant bookings associated with accommodation reservations, with the exception of all Christmas and New Year packages.
A table in The Three Chimneys Restaurant will be reserved for you automatically if you reserve a room in The House Over-By. As we are a Restaurant with Rooms, it is unusual for guests not to dine with us. We do not offer Room Service evening meals.
Dinner Bed and Breakfast prices are based upon each person in the party having a 3-Course Dinner on the evening(s) of their stay with us. Any further Food and Beverage charges incurred will be in addition to the basic price.
We do not make any reductions in the Tariff except during the Winter months from November until the following Spring, at around Easter time.
Our reception staff can advise on journey times, routes to the Isle of Skye, alternative places to stay if we have no rooms available, gift vouchers – all manner of things! Please telephone to ask for our specialist assistance in making your visit here a memorable one.
