We need someone with a fun and friendly personality, who is a great communicator, perfect for welcoming and looking after our guests in The House Over-By. Your responsibilities as a member of the Front Office Team of 4 will involve handling all reservations, daily admin, personal contact with every customer and guest by telephone and e-mail, bookings for the restaurant, plus acting as receptionist and concierge.

Good IT and organisational skills, a perfect grasp of the English language, great telephone manner, sales techniques and outgoing personality required. We don't ask for much! But we will provide a fantastic job in one of the most beautiful locations in the World, a view from your Office to die for and never a dull moment at work.

Hours are shared on a rota basis between all 4 members of the team and will include evening and weekend shifts as well as daytime work. A good knowledge of the Isle of Skye, its history and culture is a huge advantage to anyone applying for this post.

This is a permanent position with an average 35 hour working week. Hourly rate of around £8.50 according to skills and experience brought to the job.

Breakfast for our 12 guests staying overnight in The House Over-By is served in the Morning Room with its panoramic views overlooking the sea. Our guests expect lots of personal attention and friendly service from our staff at all times - especially first thing in the mornings! Are you a morning person?

As a Breakfast Service Assistant, you will serve food to the tables, keep a watchful eye on our gorgeous buffet spread and generally make sure our guests are attended to with care. Following breakfast your duties will include clearing and cleaning the Breakfast Kitchen, Morning Room and Reception area, plus some preparation for Afternoon Teas and the following day's service.

This is not a taxing job and does not involve cooking. Hours would be suitable for someone keen to work permanent hours, but not fulltime. This is an all-year-round position with all the attendant benefits. Your morning shift will begin at 7.00 or 8.00am and finish at around 12.30 or 1.30pm over 5 days which could include weekends as well as weekdays. Good hourly rates will be paid on a weekly basis. There is scope for more work in the main Restaurant at The Three Chimneys for any applicants who are interested in extending their hours.

This is not a live-in position and is most suited to someone already living in the vicinity of The Three Chimneys at Colbost, near Dunvegan, Isle of Skye, who drives and has their own car. Good local knowledge of the island's visitor attractions is also important.
