What about specific dietary requirements? We embrace individual dietary requirements as a creative and culinary challenge. We really appreciate advance notification through our Reception Team at the point of booking. We make every effort to provide exciting choices for Vegetarians and other dietary preferences. We are also ready to help and advise those with food allergies and intolerances.
Are Table Reservations necessary? Reservations for tables in the Restaurant are essential for both Lunch and Dinner, due to our remote location. These must be reconfirmed the day before you are due to dine with us, at the latest. Please note, those reserving accommodation with us in The House Over-By are automatically allocated a table in the Restaurant. If you are not staying with us, please Book A Table. Please be aware that we have a strict chargeable cancellation policy for anyone who does not arrive for their reservation, without letting us know in advance. Are Children Welcome? All children are welcome to dine with their parents for Lunch or Dinner. For family parties with very young children, we recommend booking at lunchtime which is slightly more informal or an early evening table. We provide full baby changing facilities in the Restaurant. Dining at the Kitchen Table is not suitable for children under 16 years of age.
Is there a Minimum Charge for Children? We do not offer a Children's Menu as such, but we are happy to adapt dishes to suit younger tastes. We make no cover charge for babies or toddlers using our highchairs, except a nominal amount for any specific requests such as bread, soup or ice cream. Half portions of the Menu dishes can be requested for children at Lunch or Dinner and will be charged at 50% discount. The Kitchen Table experience is not available for anyone under 16 years of age.
What about Children staying in The House Over-By? For children who are staying with us overnight, we can serve a children's tea in The House Over-By at 5.30pm instead of Dinner in the Restaurant. We can also recommend excellent local baby-sitters.
